Our only concern is that when we arrived there was a lot of discussion going on between the staff at reception. We think that this was due to some problems that they might have been having with some builders who were working on site. Sadly, they were so wrapped up in their conversation that we were left standing there for 3 or 4 minutes before anyone attended to us

Dinner was excellent.
Breakfast standard for stopover hotels.
Building in process of much needed renovation- parts held up by props.
Air cooler in room not as efficient as aircon.
Overall good for stopover on drive to southern France Just off motorway but quiet.

Room cannot be locked from the inside, toilet flush only half working (6 litre button blocked) and very dim lighting above the sink (difficult to shave).

The pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable room, good bedding, quiet hotel.
The downsides: In very hot weather, an air cooler is not a substitute for air conditioning and may not be sufficient. At breakfast, you could perhaps add eggs and various cold cuts, but that's purely for indulgence!

Unfortunately the air condition did not really work, so it was not even possible to get the room down to the outside temperature, which went up to 39 degrees that day. A fan would have been more useful than a non-working air condition. So we couldn't really sleep that night.
Breakfast was ok but nothing special, but dinner can really be recommended.
