Business and tourism in Seine et Marne

- Agriculture: in Seine et Marne, the countryside is at the gates of Paris with significant agricultural activity and its wheat fields. It produces cheeses, particularly Brie de Meaux and Melun or Coulommiers. Forestry is also significant, particularly in Achères-la-Forêt and Brie-Comte-Robert.

Exploitation of the subsoil: numerous sand and clay quarries; and almost a third of oil extraction in France.

Esmans and Montereau-Fault-Yonne are close from a famous destination in Seine et Marne:

- The Château Fontainebleau was the residence of the kings of France since François 1er, then an imperial residence until Napoleon III. Visit the park, the Renaissance rooms of the château, the apartment and the Napoleon 1er museum, the Chinese museum of the Empress Eugénie.

-The Fontainebleau forest is as unmissable as its royal castle. It is a nature destination at the gates of Paris, popular with Parisians and residents of the Paris region as well as tourists visiting Paris and the region.

Tourism is one of the driving forces of the economy with very diverse destinations:

- Disneyland Paris® and other amusement and animal parks;

- The forest areas and the famous forest of Fontainbleau;

Paris East: Disneyland, Asterix, amusement and animal parks

Other theme parks, close to our hotels in Paris Est in Seine-et-Marne, offer fun and/or educational experiences for your weekends or holidays with family and young children.

Sea life: 5 minutes from Disneyland Paris, at the Val d'Europe shopping center. Aquarium with 350 marine species and playground. Annual closing: December 25 and the morning of January 1.

Parc Astérix: in Plailly in the Oise, 30 km north of Paris, 32 attractions around 6 universes inspired by the hero of the village of the indomitable Gauls (open from the beginning of April to November 11). And 20 minutes away, the Mer de Sable in Ermenonville, ideal with children and families around 3 universes in a Far West and nature spirit. These two parks are only 30 minutes from the Fasthôtel Paris Ouest Claye Souilly and around 50 minutes from the Fasthôtel de Brie Comte Robert.

Fami PARC: in Nonville (about 20 km south of Fontainebleau) attractions and rides, open from mid-April (school holidays, weekends, and public holidays) and every day during the summer holidays until the first days of September. school holidays).

Le Parc de l'Emprunt: in Souppes-sur-Loing (about 1/2 hour south of Fontainebleau), mini-farm and more than 200 domestic and wild farm animals, some of which roam free in a 6-hectare park. Open from mid-February to early November from 13:30 p.m. and from 10 a.m. in high season.

The Parc des Félins: in Lumigny-Nesles-Ormeaux (1/2 hour from the Fasthôtel de Brie comte Robert). This animal park, breeding and reproduction center is home to 140 felines representing 25 species among the 36 surviving ones recorded in the world. Closed on Mondays in November and December. Annual closure from mid-December to the end of the 3rd week of January.

The Bois d'Attilly Zoological Park in Ozoir-la-Ferrière (1/2 of central Paris and Disneyland Paris) brings together in a 19-hectare park more than 650 animals representing some 250 species of mammals and birds.

Palace of Versailles and royal cities of Yvelines

A starting point for visiting Paris, the Yvelines department is also a leading tourist destination with six royal cities. While the most famous monument in Yvelines is undoubtedly the Palace of Versailles, visitors also appreciate the parks and castles of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Mantes-la Jolie, Rambouillet, Poissy and Marly-le-Roy.
